This photo does make me shiver! I missed the people until I looked at the photo info. If they are the main focus of the picture they need to be bigger in the frame, either by getting closer or using a longer focal length lens.

it's a nicely exposed scene, shows winter off - though we don't get them in Leeds anymoew

the main thing you've got to think of with this sort of thing is composition - you need something in there to grab our attention, it could be a person walking, tractor driving, or even a snowman. Another idea would be to get down really low with a wide angled lens and get a car tyre track looking really big in the foreground.

next time it snows, get a friend in a warm red coat to go with you - put them in the scene and see how it lifts is

Have seen this image often, usually scooshed, in a foreign country after a days skiing, regards, Geo K.
