This i think....

By vonny my best side
This zebra decided to pose for the camera which i am very greatful for, as they are usual at the far end of their enclosure but on sunday they were all at the fencing .
I had to do some work on the background as there were some distractions in the bg . I really struggled with it took forever to do ,i'm still not to keen on it so any advice is Very Very welcome
Thanks for looking

Nice work, Yvonne. They are so much like horses that I can't help finding zebras endearing.
As to the background, looks fine to me, except that the dark green doesn't follow the same line on the left. There is also a bit of a change of colour top left. Well, you did ask! Think I'd probably have done just what you did to eliminate distractions. Others may advise differently.

With the background I've got this experience:
I use the tele lenses Sigma 70-300mm for Nikon D70 and then the bg is blurred, provided there's not anything bright that is hard to blur.
This is what I call a natural correction.
Normally I don't use PS for correcting my photos.
Thank you for your comments.

Yvonne, everything needs practicing, anyway.
The problem is however that we are not able to find out what works better because we jump from one kind of photos to another.

Nice shot Vonny. Most people would never have known about the background if you had not mentioned it. Even looking again I can't see why you worry. It looks good to me.

Only thing that makes me realise that you did not take this in Africa is that the background is much too green for Africa Wink.
