StMary's

By wanny
The weather forecast was for grey cloud. Fortunately it proved otherwise.& I witnessed a spectacular dawn.

The elation I experienced was tempered when after driving up to Seaton Sluice I realised I'd lost my glasses. It was my own fault as I'd hung them on the front of my coat by a single frame arm. As the tide was rising across the causeway I'd walked to a dry patch to put down my bag to pack away my gear. It must have been then that they were dislodged.
I drove back the two miles to StMary's hoping against hope that the tide hadn't swept my very expensive specs away. Luckily they were lying on the causeway about four foot from the rising water. Unfortunately the lenses where face down & had suffered some scratches. It's an expensive lesson that could easily have been avoided as I was carrying my case.

Depending where you got your specs from, you may find that they are insured, worth asking............... Apart from that, this is a wonderful sunrise and a great composition.
