Paris Is Burning

By warb
Continuing in the tradition of being completely random, here's something a bit different for me, a shot taken from the top of some tower in France. It was actually freezing with 200mph winds and throwing it down, not that the picture really showed it. I have made it a touch warmer and destroyed it a bit with a couple of textures.

The post-processing work has transformed what could be a very mundane shot into something altogether more interesting. I especially like the texturing in the sky. I'd be tempted to move that tower a little more to the left though.

The colour and texture you have added to the sky complements the scattered abstract look of the bottom half well. Even the 50/50 split works well here.

Why thank you Mr Matic.

Dave, ha good point...

Hows this? Tower moved a touch to the left. Better? Feels quite good moving towers about.

I'd be tempted to go another 1.6cm to the left (on your large version). But then we're into the aesthetics of froggy tower relocation, and we all have different taste in such matters.

Have a Yummy award by the way .... I can imagine this looking superb printed up very large on canvas.

Does anyone think this might work better minus the texture/dirt?
