Also, didn't you violate the Gallery rules but taking photos from inside the gallery?? As you can see, flash photography can fade the paint!

This really is a new way of getting an E.C - I think you call it 'thinking outside the box'. Be interesting to see if everyone else starts posting blank photos now!!!!

Still, for a E.C., I would have prefered it if you had cought one/more of the robbers in the frame.

Well I gave this an EC because of the juxtaposition of the third lump of Blue tak and the idealistic following of the rule of rectangles. The mucky blue tak could be seen as inappropriate, but I feel this gives the photograph a more natural feel. A gem.

I may be drunk but this is about as funny and/or inspired as a dead dog. To be honest I was feeling quite sympathetic towards Pete for the criticism he has been getting for the EC's...

I am surprised at a lot of the comments Pete has been making recently, enough to wonder whether it has actualy been him making the comments at all. The way it is going the next step will be awarding EC's to photo's of animals with "funny" captions.

I have to say, most people have taken this in the spirit that it was a) intended and b)accepted (with an award of an EC). There are some who don't get it, some who think its wrong, some who love it, and, hopefully, most who've had a really good laugh.

For me the EC goes for the creative thinking. Warb was copied when he introduced his own awards for members of this site, and now he's been copied with gallery pics - currently blank and blue have appeared. Genius!

You can rest assured it won't be picture of the week, although I would love to see what reaction we got from Smile

The Scream was (is) one of my favourite pictures- I've seen numerous revisions/interpretations of it (the Kiwi scream rocks) but this, This is brilliant.

Private Eye should have this as their cover.

Brave (but certainly correct) move giving this an EC.
This is the second time The Scream has been stolen (like candy from a baby again!)so should art imitate life, and as history repeats itself so too should art repeat itself.
IE should you post this masterpiece twice.

Well spake Helena, taking ones self too seriously is far too common a flaw This beautifully highlights the opposite- both Pete and Warb (and 80+ others) showing an appreciation for a sense of humour, ingenuity and entertainment value.
If you signed it Damien Hirst, and stuck it in a tank of Formaldahyde you could hang it in the Tate or sell it for a fortune...
