A great scene and composition, but unfortunately the lighting / colours seem a little flat

I've loaded a mod. which addresses that problem! I'm aware it might be more colourful that it was in reallity, but the viewers would not be aware of that unless they were there at the time!
hope you like approve

Happy New Year to you all, mudge

This has the makings of a very nice shot. It does look flat, - which essentially means it lacks contrast (blacks are not actually black, whites are more gray) and correcting this with a curves adjustment alone makes the colours come alive with any saturation adjustment. Mudges mod does work also, by making it look more like a watercolour painting.

A better composition is to place the edge of the lake on a third, and align the house with a vertical third, - this is achieved with cropping from the top and the right.

Ive loaded a mod with this done, some sharpening applied, a frame and text to show its potential for hanging on your wall!

I hope you find this helpful.

Happy New Year

Regards

Willie
