Fireworks over Battersea Park

I read the article about photographing fireworks and thought I'd try putting it into practice. Any comments would be gratefully received!

Nice first attempt - but I fear it's overexposed, where the firework has exploded it is completely burnt out. Next time you attend a firework display, check your camera display after each photograph and adjust the shutter speed as you think fit. Also you have cropped the top off the top of the burst. Hope this helps for the next time . . . .the D90 is a good camera, so keep practicing. Grin

Thanks, that's helpful. I'd actually taken the exposure up a lot post production so that the Battersea Pagoda was more visible but I can see that I may have overdone it.
