  • This i think....

Nice shot Vonny. Most people would never have known about the background if you had not mentioned it. Even looking again I can't see why you worry. It looks good to me.

Only thing that makes me realise that you did not take this in Africa is that the background is much too green for Africa Wink.

  • A VIEW FROM THE RIVER KELVIN...

    Hello Ann.

Listening to the radio commentary of the rugby game between South Africa and Scotland. Seems opportune that I should be looking at these images of Scotland. Helps that my team is winning 33 - 9 Wink else I would not have been so calm. Anyway once again a fine presentation.

  • One word. WOW!
  • Hello Martin.

Not sure if this is the right place to pose a question or two.

Is it possible that I posted to the wrong section? Maybe I should have posted to digitally manipulated rather than people / portraiture. Would that alter your opinions in any way?

Anne's portfolio although technically brilliant does not inspire me to 'frame and hang'. Her images disregard anything below the jaw and neck line. All my photo's are spur of the moment and involve natural poses, even when unflattering. They are not forced or 'put on' for the camera.

Once again thanks for your sharing your expertise. Looking at that image I tend to agree with most of your observations. I just can't understand why I still like it so much Wink

  • Alan, thanks for stopping by. Wow, I love your work. Normally one or two photo's in a portfolio strike my eye, but with your folio I want to see the larger version of every thumbnail.

  • Hello Gary. Another member whose name comes up regularly on the photo postings with positive comments and advice. I like the detail, clarity and the composition of your folio. Well done.
  • Hello Mike. As I work my way around the many folios I continually see you name, providing comments and inspiration to other members. Today I finally made it to your folio and must agree with Tanya and Tess. Your colours, detail, clarity and sharp images are a joy to view.
