  • I Got Down & Dirty

    Thanks everyone.

Lovely to receive your UA Peter - I'm glad you liked the series . The shots were taken by my husband. It was a bit of a shock hitting the pit of mud at the bottom head first and I was blinded by the mud but at the same time was in hysterics laughing with my colleague who had agreed to sign up for the challenge with me Grin

Cheers also Nathan, Patty and Danny.

Patty....here's a video showing how I got the mud off....my husband enjoyed that part more than me TongueTongueTongueTongue

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner - it's been a mad busy couple of days. The mods are fantastic and I absolutely appreciate all of the help and time you've all given me.

Jeff (cats_123) - thanks for the mod, it's a definite improvement, and I agree the background needs to be made less prominent.

Moira (mrswoolybill) - yes, tighter crop is definitely the way to go. Thanks for the dodging and burning tips. I can see by your mod the difference those adjustments make. I'm fine Moira, thanks very much and have signed up to tackle the Cancer Research Pretty Muddy obstacle course challenge on July 18th to raise money for research into kidney cancer (yes I am mad TongueTongue). Thanks for the mod, it's lovely.

John (Dudler) - great mod John thanks and yes I can see now that the shot is underexposed a bit. Yes the family have put in their orders GrinGrin

Peter (Ddolfelin) - thanks for taking the time to do a mod and showing me another option for consideration Peter. I'm glad you like my shot.

Willie (banehawi) - Lovely mod Willie and thanks so much for the detailed instructions. The tones are lovely and that's a great idea to clone out the distracting sign in the background. Can't wait to get started on the RAW file Smile

Thank you very much for the wonderful mods and all of the great advice everyone. I now know exactly how this shot of Freyja can be improved. It's my favourite recent shot of her but I wasn't really sure how to go about improving the skin tones etc. I want to have it printed and framed and I knew I'd get great advice in the CG so thanks all for your help.

Great comp Neill. I took a shot of this same staircase when I was in the Vatican Museums a couple of weeks ago but it was not as good as yours. I like the inclusion of the people.
