Going round the bend

By mrswoolybill
Country folk have simple ways, they create their own entertainment.
Pig-racing in Kent. They move fast, particularly when there is a trough of food in sight. I only got one shot.
Uploaded just for a laugh, I know the focus is on the wrong pig.
I was standing beside Ann Chown, I still haven't seen what she got...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Just makes you giggle...need to check if country folk in Denmark do the same... Wink
BTW, I like the focus on the second pig..."in pursuit" might be the alternative title. Smile

We have a farm near by that used to do sheep racing. Strapped to the back of each sheep was a knitted jockey - the course was straight, but it had jumps! Somewhere I have an image of this fine event - perhaps one silly sunday I may try and find it!

Or 'Wait for me'? Yes the one coming up in the background knows it's not going to get to the food trough first and that's what hurts.

Pigs are...

Groan. You had 24 hours notice of this upload to think that one up.

Adam, I've seen pictures of this, though I think they were elsewhere, not on EPZ. Now I want to see yours...

There are at least some things that London doesn't get. Although I can imagine some good locations for this in the capital. Round Harrods Food Hall perhaps?
Cheers folks, have a good Sunday, steer clear of Hurricane Bertha.

I'm told pigs are very smart. We knew a fellow, who raised pigs and his big male pig, the daddy to all was named Eineswine. He was massive. Love the ears in the second pig. Great shot.

This sort of thing could only happen in England or Great Briitain and Ireland to be more accurate! As well as football, cricket and rugby we've given the world events such as dwile flonking, cheese rolling, shin kicking ( a sport in the Cotswold Olympics) bog snorkeling and worm charming!Grin You've caught the action so superbly in this fun shot
