Ships that pass in the night

By mrswoolybill
So there we were again, lying in bed looking at shadows...
This follows on from Procesional . This time the light is from Bill's reading lamp, and the scent bottles have been joined by a lone sock waiting for its mate to turn up.
I haven't added the vignette by the way, it's the outline of the spotlight. I did experiment with hardening the edges of the shadow, but decided to keep to the original.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

I get the impression that when Bill disrobes he simply hurls garments in every direction, and that undressing is for him a cathartic release.

I originally thought Bull.
Then I saw the horse, which I've highlighted for you.
It's my photograph. It's a horse if I say it is.

One of your socks?
Such impatience...

What I most disturbing about these images from you guys is the fact that you are both taking cameras to bed...

Love the grain here.

Oh dear, what a sheltered life some people lead...
But for the sake of hard facts:
a) The sock was waiting for its partner to turn up in the wash or crawl out of some dark corner. Socks are like that...
b) We lie in bed looking at shadows.
I do wish people would pay attention.
Meanwhile have a good day. I went out yesterday and got the full story of the milk-sucking doll, but I don't want to spoil your weekend with it, it's far too disturbing. A clue though, it's competitive milk-sucking...

I don't want to con side Bill and cathartic release just after my brekkie.

A fortunate landing smelly sock and scent bottles.

Reminds me of a joke about the Dundee Mill girls.

When I was but a mere child (you make me reminisce) we had no central heating and relied on coal fires to keep warm and I used to lay watching the shadows dancing around on the ceiling! Perhaps you should get a fireWink your shadow could be a slipper or gents hat but you have already told us what it is - I rest with that thoughtGrin

A shadow of a modern boat, variety of life existing in as small a space as one's bedroom. Great observance and shot, Moira.

I reckon you and Bill have been drinking too much port before bedtime to see ships docking in your bedroom!Tongue
