Dalmore Beach

By WeeGeordieLass
I love being on the beaches on the Isle of Lewis as the sun goes down.

The mood and atmosphere constantly change as the sun slips towards the horizon and it really is a photographers paradise.

This shot was taken as the warm light of the Golden Hour started to light up the cliff face.

As I watched this wave develop and rush in to the shore I knew it was gonna be a good 'un.

As the water smashed against my legs I felt the sand below my feet subside and prayed that I had released the shutter just at that perfect moment.

And, yes.....I did get wet!

I hope you like what I captured in that split second.

Thanks for looking

Elaine Grin

Well worth getting wet for, Elaine! Grin Much more action in the water than in my last upload, puts my crashing waves to shame! Smile
