Dicentra

By WeeGeordieLass
At last...the weather was nice enough today to get out and try some macro flower shots in my garden.

Being outside didn't stop me from enjoying my Sunday afternoon glass of wine...this time a large chilled Mateus Rose. Think I'm turning into the Keith Floyd of photography lately.......one sip of wine, then one click, another sip of wine, then another click...hic !!.....helps the creative process Wink

This was my favourite shot from my "merry session" and I hope you like it. Back to work tomorrow and expecting a busy week with a few long days Sad

Thanks for looking guys
Elaine Grin

Your very welcome!! I hope I'm right on that one...LOL!!! We use to have them at home in our flower garden. I believe my
mom called them that.
I'm new to this site ... what's the purpose of being here? Is it for professional photographer's only or anyone who enjoy's photography? I'm just following the other member's and what they are doing.

Hi Noreen,

This site is for everyone who has an interest in photography from complete beginners up to professional photographers. I've been a member for about two and a half years when I started photography as a beginner.

It's a fantastic learning resource for photography and I feel I've learned a great deal by uploading my images into the Critique Gallery where there are some extremely skilled folk who will give you honest critique and advice on your images and how to improve.

I've also made a few friends too which is nice.

Have a good look around the site, the galleries and also the forums and you'll soon find your way around.

Enjoy Ephotozine Noreen GrinGrin

The flower also known as Dutchman's Trousers, also available in white..............love them and love your rendition of them Elaine. I love the purple tips on the end of the leaves.

I'm wondering if you sip and then click if the dicentra will eventually look as though it is blowing in the wind as your camera shakes GrinGrinGrin

That is a lovely shot, Elaine. I haven't seen ( or noticed) flowers like that before. About the only thing of interest in our garden are tadpoles, and an occasional visit from next- door's rat(which seems to enjoy the rat poison.

Hope work is not too onerous.

Love,

J.

Hi Elaine ...

Thank's so much for filling me in in regard's to this site. I'm not professional in any way. I just love capturing the beauty around me. People like
my photo's that I share on other site's ...and thought I would share them here as well. . By checking and reading comment's on other portfolio's .. I am
learning from them. I picked up a few tip's already.
Still debating whether to upgrade ...not sure if I have the time to spend here and if it will be worthwhile.

Again ..thank's so much,

Noreen Smile

It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful this plant is. I love your negative gradient sloping diagonal composition. Beautifully done!
Kindest regards
