Rustic Lamp

By WeeGeordieLass
Was scouting for wild flowers in Whinfell Forest at the weekend and I found this beautifully illuminated gnarled old leaf.

The sun was low in the sky and backlighting the leaf. It stood out against the forest greens and browns, and from a distance it looked like it was a little leaf shaped light bulb which had been switched on in readiness for nightfall.

In addition to the lighting I like the uncluttered, simple feel and I hope you enjoy looking at it.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

nom nom Elaine. I love the long curve of the leaf and then the detail of the cellular structure.

Well done!

A lovely capture, Elaine, with nice detail in the veins of the leaf, all enhanced by the wonderful light Smile
