A Cobbler at work in Varanasi.
I'd be interested in any opinions on the processing here.
Thanks for looking.

Fantastic image & processing. just a touch of hdr there?
Thanks very much. All of the processing was done in Elements 10.
I'm glad you like the shot.
I like this pic. I cannot give you an opinion of the processing you did, for that I think we need to see the original. But I like the colors and sharpness of the Pic.
I like the picture but if you had made eye contact with the subject it would have been even better. The man gets lost a bit for me with everything that is going on around him.
I think you bent down quite low for this, it's given an intimate view. I have to disagree with AndyD999 about - having him look up and grin at the camera would have given a bog standard tourist snap, whereas this is a glimpse into somebody's life. Things that strike me - the balance of the sandals to the right with his bare feet, the balance of the bicycle tyres with the bike top right. And so much care and attention being devoted to repairing sandals that we in the West would probably throw out without thinking.
The processing looks spot on. The colours are saturated in a satisfying way, without looking garish. There's the glow of warm late afternoon sun. Maybe reduce saturation on red by a tiny bit? I'm not sure that it's needed, I would be delighted to have taken this.
Really nice shot of work in progress.
Nice and low, a real street shot. Im amazed at the colour of his feet, kook like they are polished too. The tools of his trade, and the repair materials, - the tires, all in the frame.
Colour for me is better at -10 saturation, - it fixes the slightly too red appearance; and I would lighten the shadows just a little, and thats about it.
Done in the mod for comparison.
Louisa - Thanks for taking the time to post a comment on my shot. I'm glad you feel I've got the colors and the sharpness correct
Andy - With some of my shots I've engaged with the subject, but with this one I wanted to get a natural candid street shot of him at his work, so I didn't attract his attention.
Moira - Thanks for your descriptive analysis of the shot.........it brings it to life - you've described just what I hoped to convey with this image. I'm pleased you like the processing, and will try reducing the saturation
Willie - Thanks for the mod which confirms to me that I do need to reduce the saturation as yourself and Moira have suggested. I feel that the shot gives a good depiction of typical street working life in Varanasi
Thanks for your critique everyone, it's a great help
