Taken in the Sikh Gurdwara (Temple) Bangla Sahib in New Delhi. These were the colonnades that surround a huge pond thought to contain holy water called "Amrit". The atmosphere throughout the whole complex was very spiritual, with the constant repetition of beautiful sounding hypnotic devotional chanting filling the background. We visited the amazing kitchens where the volunteers working there felt very privileged to prepare and serve free meals to thousands of people every day, irrespective of their race or religion. This was my favorite place I visited in New Delhi and I felt very humbled by the Sikh philosophy of helping their fellow man.
If anyone's interested in reading my blog account of my visit there here's the link.
I thought this one would look good in black & white. I've uploaded the color version too.
I'd appreciate any constructive comments on the b & w conversion and the image in general.
Thanks for looking
