Twr Mawr Lighthouse

By WeeGeordieLass
My first thought when I saw this view was "Hans Christian Andersen"!. What a beautiful location, it looked like it was straight out of a fairy tale.

It nearly finished me off getting this shot. A 3 mile round trip (which felt like 6 miles); walking along the beach with camera gear and tripod weighing in at 20lb on my back; my feet sinking into the soft wet sand with every step (wearing heavy wellies); sweating profusely under the humid warm weather dressed inadvisably in an all weather coat.....yes this was definitely the unglamorous side of landscape photography!!

But when I saw this scene it made it all worthwhile 😍

Would I do it all again for a view like this?...hell yes 😅

Hope you like it too.

Better than my effort a few weeks back, but you had the light. Well done. Can I suggest a pack mule?

Peter (ddolfelin) - thank you so much for your UA, it's much appreciated - I keep hinting to my family members that I need a photographic assistant but my pleas keep falling on deaf ears! Sad

John (coelacanth) - I like your shot of the Lighthouse and I also like your suggestion of a pack mule, I had thought of trying a shopping trolley but decided the wheels would get stuck in the sand lol Grin
