Orrest Head

By WeeGeordieLass
The trail up to Orrest Head in the Lake District climbs about 425ft!

I made it all the way up there, lugging my camera gear, after a full day's photography at Derwentwater & Ullswater to watch the sun going down over Windermere.
It was freezing cold but when the sun started to dip towards the horizon the light changed and it was beautiful.

The minute-by-minute changing colors of the sky, the green fells and distant snow capped mountains soon made me forget my aching legs.
It was a wonderful experience to be there.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look Grin
