As I have already mentioned in earlier post it was a very frustrating trip due to the Fall being 2 weeks early owing to the dry summer. My wife and I covered 1600 miles in a week trying to find the best Fall colours. I came home a bit frustrated but since I have transferred the images to my main computer and had a proper look I am very happy although the hit rate is not as high as I would have liked.

It is a while since I have been able to get some proper camera time in so it is great to be back in the ephotozine family.

Henrique - good point. I need to visit again when it is a little quieter as this is taken on a wooden bridge and trying to get a 2 min exposure without anyone on the bridge is difficult,

When I last went to Yosemite on a 3 week climbing trip over 20 years ago this was the sight that greeted us as we arrived in the valley on a Greyhound bus.

It absolutely took my breath away then and it was the same this time round.

Like the view point but the white areas are not white enough for me. Not sure what to suggest as I often struggle to get it just right in the snow.

Many thanks for the great feedback. It was one of those mornings where as soon as you can see some light in the sky you know that it is setting up for something special but we all know those hopes can be dashed.
