Street Life in London

By WelshKiwi
Ages since I have taken any Photographs.
Ages since I have uploaded to EPZ
Ages since I have had a Holiday
Ages since I have been to the Big Smoke Smile

Went to London last weekend for a break as I have not been too well (real flu and it has taken ages to get rid of) but not sure London is the best place to go to relax, cos I didnt, I walked for miles and miles and miles.

Saw a few exhibitions, missed the one (by an hour) at Canada House but enjoyed the images at the National Geographic Shop (many of Sir Edmund Hilary) on Regents Street.

Sorry not been around much but figure those who know me need no explanation as to what I have been up to.

Its ages since I have had my camera out, I have Lightroom now and I am actually excited about learning the programme.

Hope all is well with you Smile

Take Care

PS, Felt like a real country bumpkin, forgot what it was like to be in a big city and the amount of people around, hence the angle on this one. 100's people around me but I wanted the street light (iconic) The Clock (again iconic) and tower of Westminster in distance that mirrored all three before.... Or is it just me that can see a pattern lol Wink

You take pictures too eh?

Actually I quite like this Lee ... well controlled exposure plus the visual contrast between the sharp figure and blurred but still recognisable background works well.

I'd crop quite a lot though as per the mod ............. you've a lot of dead space above the figure which does'nt really add much to the shot. And I know what I'm talking about cos I'm an expert Wink

I LOVE the mod Dave and it is so much better. Totaly agree with you and kicking myself now for not even thinking about doing that.

Im normally a "go in tight" croppie sort of a gal too, and tried to do it in camera. Forgot that you can do things digitally as well Wink

Thanks for the mod, one day I might get a hang of this thing called Photography Smile

Very gently surreal, I love the fact that he has his eyes closed, it adds to the dream-like feel.

Hello, you!

So where you been, eh? Wink

Good to see you posting again, Lee. Hope you don't mind me savagely trimming your pic but I think you can afford to be a lot less conservative here....

Thanks Guys Smile

I love the crops and I do think you are right Jools Smile

I think I am really going to play around with my images a bit more just to experiment with them and think outside the box.

Trouble is, I think a bit too much like "stock" work now I think Wink which thinks mainly of the obvious.....

Me Wink
