Thanks for viewing and commenting on my photos - it is always appreciated.
I've been interested in photography since the age of 7 and used to do my own black & white developing and printing. Recently (millenium time) I changed from 35mm SLR to Digital and almost felt like I was back in the darkroom again. Having said that, I much prefer to do 'nothing' to my shots by way of enhancement - they say the camera never lies, let's keep it that way!

Thanks Ju, I think you make a good point. I half thought about it but in the light of your comment I'll give it a try. Probably won't be til next week as we are away on another short break to Scotland!

  • Total Tranquility

Many thanks for your comments everyone. Have been missing from the site for a while as my life was changing direction. Am hoping to get back on a bit more often now.
Susie and Simon - have taken on board what you said and worked on my original - definitely improves it, though what I posted was as "natural as it comes!" When does the camera never lie?!!
Am just off for a week of cricket but will visit your portfolios on my return.

I know this isn't everyone's taste, but I love the textures and 'abstractness' of this.

  • Real Angel of the North

Many thanks for your comments. It's good to be back K - I've been distracted by my 'Angel of the North' whom I've recently persuaded to join the madhouse! Now we have no excuses but to go with the flow!

  • Snow, snow, thick...

Hi Suzi and thanks - it is wonderful out there, the air always feels so clean at altitude, and can you believe I haven't been this year, seem to have other things on my mind Smile

  • Can You Hear Me.....?

    Beautiful image Patrizia, well done.
Many thanks for your comment and 'concern' on my photo. I thought I'd respond on one of your 'older' photos (as I haven't looked for so long Smile ) so that this message is more discreet. I am keeping well and my absence is for very happy reasons - after being on my own for the last 10 years, a new man has come into my life and is making me extremely happy!!! I will keep you posted as and when things develop! You can always contact me on 'w dot strong at ntlworld dot com' if ever you want to. Take care, Wendy

Ummm, and what happened to all the PS touch up to make us look glam Ed - weren't you paying attention to the demos? LOL
Thanks again though - I was about to name the question marks and by the time I'd logged in I'd been beaten to it! Fun day...

  • Porto Wine

Excellent shot Patrizia - I don't think I can fault it, the lighting, the composition, it works perfectly for me, and the border gives it that finishing touch.

I think it would also make a very time-consuming jigsaw Smile

Super atmosphere and lighting Patrizia - but I agree you should practice taking out the telegraph pole Smile

  • Bye!

Brian - absolutely superb, and many congrats on the EC - even if it somewhat belated!! I guess this cropped up about the time things were changing for me and I wasn't paying my daily visits to the site...
Many thanks for your comment on mine yesterday - hope to be spending a bit more time on the site now, but my life is (happily) following new directions...Smile
