Hi ladies, think I am going to have to retire totally so I have time to keep up with everything that goes on in this site! I have seen so many photos that are inspiring me but haven't found time to comment on them all yet - I promise I will! Paddy, to answer your query...this field was up Lambleys Lane, off Upper Brighton Road, Worthing to Sompting. Not sure straightening would have worked - would have ended up with drunken trees?! Like Suzi, I preferred the natural angle of the field. I will be uploading a close up of some of these poppies, probably tonight. Hope you'll enjoy them. Wendy

thank you for getting back to me.. that might be a bit to far, but worth looking into.... was it recent?...... I only ment a few degree's they still looked ok .. but it's your work & I know what it's like when you've seen the view through the lens ... it's what you feel happy with... look forward to the close ups... how nice to retire & have time .... this would make a beatiful greetings card..it's a beautifully sunny morning in Southampton.. ...and thanks for your quick response - good to see I'm not the only early bird! It was taken on 16th June so very recent. It's beautiful in Worthing too this morning...was born in Boscombe by the way and lived in Southampton and Ringwood as a youngster. Unfortunately I now have to get off to work...later, Wendy

Lovely field of poppies very well caught. I never know what to do with a sloping landscape as my instinct is to straighten it, but this works very well.
Hope to see a field like this next year.
