A cracking shot of this place.

  • Two For One

Oh come on, this has been done to death. Good shot, but not much different from every other photo of this.

    Not original enough for me.

  • Ashley

    Now this is classy.

And I'm talking about the picture..although she is as well, but she's too young for me Tongue

  • Ashley #

Really like this - reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. And no I'm not being a perv.. :o)

  • Taylor

She could of had a shave.. ;o)

  • Barriers

Fleeting visit for me today. Mucho busy.

I think it's just the hard edge to the top of the groins on the left that makes them look strange. Everything else is soft and organic so it kind of sticks out a bit.

However, it doesn't detract from the shot as the eye is nicely marshalled along to the waves, rope, etc.

  • Reeds at Sunset

    Very abstract. Nice though.

  • Sycamore Gap

I've found him in his red coat.

  • On the Staith

Outside of ePZ it's all about the light. Inside here it's all about pretty colours and strange tone mapping...

    ;o)

The reflections of the light are an obvious attraction, but I like the way the life bouy in the distance is inline with the bouy on the boat and the lines in the water lead you through to that intriguing bit of brightness in the archway.

From the thumbnail I thought this was one of Andy's.

    :o))

  • Chinese anyone?

LOL - novel sponsorship. Must be hard to keep the weight off.

  • Fudge and Beer

Is that a Fudge Packer stood in the doorway? Is he about to go up the back alley?

    ;o)

Like the 50/50 split of the paint at the top, the warm cosy feeling the pub and shop lights give against the coldness of the buildings.

  • Two Trees

Blimey, go out for the day and the waterfall shot vanishes and this is put up instead.

To be fair, the waterfall shot is gonna be good in print.

As for this? How could I not like a lone tree with lines leading towards it. Except it's not a lone tree.

    :o)

  • Seventeen Fifty Five

Back to the contrast question. If this is meant to be as contrasty as some of your other non HDR work then the answer is it isn't. It's actually lifelike.

What were you aiming for, contrast wise?

I'm wondering if the HDR software struggles with wood tones. The grass and stone look like a picture, but the wood has a feel of a coloured sketch (although it's nothing like the coloured sketches that have been appearing.)

  • A Lasting Defence

For me the posts look like they've been added to the shot - cut and paste sort of style.

The sand, waves and sky look fine, but the the posts don't seem to match the rest of the background.

It's certainly bright and breezy and I like that, but it's the posts that turn me off it.

You did say to tell you if there was a problem with it.

  • Over Hope II

Anyone would think you don't really like your family....you never seem to be there.

    ;o)

Lol @ Chris. I've been working on my man boobs for ages.

    ;o)

Might have to post my version of this now. I'd completely forgotten about it.

    Nice one.

    ;o)

The light is a bit bright and distracting, but hey ho.

  • Looking after Black 5

I'm here - been out all day down the smoke. Kind of apt, really.

And I was gonna say: Ooooh, Circles, Circles on a diagonal, steam, and a blerk cleaning a circle.
    ;o)

Looks rubbish from the thumbnail, but thumbnails are rubbish too. Good for stopping the tops of your thumbs going soggy.

    :o)
