I'm surprised they had any teeth back when. Good fun shot.

You've got me really curious as to where you saw these!!!!
The human skull is not a pretty sight. We once saw preserved bodies in Sicily
which looked like these.
Do tell or show us the full image please!!

there is such uniformity in colour, shape and size.. they maybe synthetic.. but then it makes it even more interesting.. maybe someone has kept them as a piece of art.. and that sand clock there is really interesting.. maybe this all is indeed meant for 'a long history of dental problems'.. perhaps outside a dentist's shop...

very interesting..

Front teeth - incisors - seem to have a low survival rate. Hard toffees have been around for longer than I thought.
The hour-glass is an appropriate accessory.
The most intriguing bit is the very domestic-looking curtain behind - this is someone's front window display??

Words fail me.
Teeth failed my father.
Funny old things, teeth.

I know the feeling well, Alan!
Funny how the front teeth seem to be in short supply!
You've got to smile though, haven't you?
If you can, that is .....GrinGrinGrin

Alas poor Yorik… (and all of his mates)!
I knew him, Alan: a fellow
of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath
borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how
abhorred in my imagination it is! my gorge rims at
it. Here hung those teeth that I have kicked I know
not how oft. Where be your gibes now? your
gambols? your songs? your flashes of merriment,
that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one
now, to mock your own grinning? quite chap-fallen?
Now get you to my lady's chamber, and tell her, let
her paint an inch thick, to this favour she must
come; make her laugh at that.

A little macabre but interesting... they all seem to have the top of the skull missing too.... Well spotted to coin a phrase I don't usually use!!!
I see the gaunt look is back in fashion. Models are getting thinner by the day.
Where on earth is this?
L
It's a window of the Hatton Gallery at Newcastle University.....or an exact copy. I once went in to ask where they got the skulls because I was (am still) after one for still life work. Fiona
