bad rabbit

By whatriveristhis
window of a very strange cake shop in Richmond... no actual cakes on display.
Any Ray Bradbury reader looking at this, it's for you.

I feel I should be reading Ray Bradbury, my education may have missed something. I'm puzzled by humming bird cakes. Sultanas, cherries, walnuts, fine. But humming birds?
Do you know the vampire rabbit in Newcastle, by the way?

Would you buy a used custard slice from this chap?
Some nice layers here, and I'm not referring to the custard slice either.

Ray Bradbury... childhood dream/memory, something not quite grasped, on the very edge of your vision, darkly. Hovering on the fine line between wonder and nightmare...

..... and we use only the very freshest, sweetest humming birds.

The Vampire Bunny: Google produced this collection .
He's opposite the east end of Newcastle Cathedral, above the back door of an Edwardian commercial building. I don't think anyone has ever come up with an explanation as to why he was put there. You really should go and introduce yourself some time.

Thanks, Moira. Suitably horrible, and worth looking into! I'll get to the toon at some point.

Mark has stolen my Harvey reference! so I'll have to fall back on Wallace & Grommit... not a million miles away from you either GrinGrin

And whilst musing on the origin of life... I wonder what purpose the exclamation mark is for. GrinGrin

Ah, Dave, you introduce further enigmas. I sense that at any moment, Rod is going to wade in with some reference to Heisenberg.....( though I'm uncertain about that...
