I find this rather beautiful as a composition and as technique. The blown highlight doesn't bother me in the slightest; if anything it draws attention to the subject and composition. I like the graininess, too; it works together with the attitude of the two swans with dreamily romantic connotations. Plus the exposure was well timed. Enviable processing.
What I find really hard to understand is the lack of attention that the image has received.

Has a dreamlike intensity, fleeting but vivid.
And those verticals really work, that's your sense of depth.
Bill and I don't just follow each other round but we do tend to land in the same places.

It's Sunday. Most people either haven't got up yet, are at the marathon, or if the weather's lovely where they are they're probably at the garden centre. Give them time. Grin
