Oh yes, Alan, it is you...Excellent shot. Love the intensity of the color.

Interesting Alan, like the colourSmile

Very interesting, Alan. Not usually my type of image but the abstract forms, colour, texture and use of light have yielded a pleasing image.

Great abstract Alan, the pixels are a real bonus. Si.

Excellent abstract, Alan. How perfectly placed can a corner be?
Composition came first, I think, the blue mood came later.

Composition and colour - fabulous.
There's been some lightening of shadows and it's affected the image quality a bit, most noticeably in the lower left/central area where there's banding. (I think my monitor is calibrated a bit on the light side and it picks up such things rather annoyingly).
Love your comment on Bill the clock-winder...

Enigmatic Alan ....................that blue is insane Smile Love it.

Alan, your eye for a great image never seems to fail you, yet another stunning abstract with both interest and appeal...

Regards Nathan GrinGrinGrin

Captivating abstract, Alan. Grabs your attention and then holds it. Nice work.

Actually that was intentional. Tends to happen particularly with blue areas, also with blue skies if you convert to B&W and then darken them. Can't remember why.

It's not colour noise per se that niggles, but a sudden transition from blue against blue to blue against grey, and a vertical stripe with a lot of grey in it. Don't know if you're seeing the same.
Yes, blue is vulnerable to this. No idea why. One good reason for avoiding blue skies...

( I'm using a MacBook Pro ) ...no, I'm not getting a vertical stripe with grey in it. Also it sounds like the noise is more pronounced on your screen than it is on mine. Though as you say, that could be down to your screen not being calibrated quite correctly.

I don't really mind, there's no right and wrong with this kind of image, and I actually quite like the idea of it looking different on different screens.
So either it works or it doesn't.

Cheers Moira. Smile

There's something magical about this blue and I like the hint of violet here and there. It's an image to meditate to, calming and very beautiful. The ghostly presence of AH adds to this gorgeous photo.

Very nice, I can see the blue making it feel serene and calming, for me the shot has the opposite effect, quietly eerie and full of suspense... Once again a great example of art in its simplest form being subject. A cracking shot Sir!

Yes it's abstract and yes, that's what I would call art.
