Strongly Impressionist right down to the texture of the canvas. Fascinating.

That's how it looks, I guess, on this small image. Full size, however, you can see that the texture is actually..."Sandstone" !! ( The 'canvas' filter didn't work too well, frankly it looked a bit crappy...)

Thanks si. I'm funny about titles, they need careful thought. Sometimes they add another layer of meaning/possibility, sometimes they suggest a direction, focus attention, sometimes they're an unnecessary distraction or a complete irrelevance. I don't much like titles that explain, it's like explaining the punch line of a joke, makes the actual image a bit unnecessary- the viewer should have to do some of the work, shouldn't expect it to always be on a plate. It's like the interminable and pretentious arts-bollocks you're asked to read when looking at a piece of conceptual art *****... if it needs to be explained, then obviously it's failed.
Here, as often with my images, it's simply a tag- a means of identifying/indexing.
