You've been let loose with the Titanium White on this, to great effect. The tankers, reflections and the calm before the gentle swell breaks are most effective Alan.
You've created a composition to be proud of, and one I like very much.

This really encourages the imagination to run wild. All those miniature water-spouts in foreground bunches supply an early-morning wake-up call, an inverted cold shower.

Logically, I know it's a shoreline from your title but for me it's got a real industrial feeling to it for some reason. I can't figure out if I just like it, or love it. When I compare it to others of the same style in your portfolio it seems stark by comparison, even though there's more going on than some of the others. I think it may be the subdued palette of colour.

It's certainly an interesting one - at first glance, it seems soulless. But looking at it more, there's definitely something 'other' about it that speaks of solitude, time and peace. I like Moira's description of it though ... "This is like sparks flying through ice" - that sums it up nicely Smile

This is the sort of image that hundreds of people could look at and each one see something different. I see a lot of water plants gleaming in the sunshine.
