Summer!!!

By whatriveristhis
Both taken in Richmond, V1 ages ago and V2 yesterday. They sure love their flower gardens in Richmond- not a leek trench to be found anywhere!
Two apologies required here...
To Moira, who would doubtless prefer a nettle, and
to Rod, who favours the simple honesty of the potato.

Hooray!! Lovely garden in full spate. It lifts the heart. Don't think I've ever seen a garden picture here. Great stuff.

After yesterday morning's Balsam Bashing I think Moira would rather not see another nettle for a few months.
Two bonny images, an appealing summer sight. Let's face it, we haven't seen much summer so far; the BBC only recently began Springwatch and the next thing on the telly will be Tudors and Autumn. Not sure why I paid my tv licence yesterday. My G.O.M syndrome is in full flow this morning.
Regards
Bill

Cheers, Bill. I think you'd have felt genuine empathy for Victor Meldrew, Praise be upon Him.

Alan does pretty gardens? The world order is collapsing...
I have to express a preference for V2, simply because I usually go for the smaller picture rather than the bigger picture. And the tones in those dog roses are wonderful. Subdued, shady, gentle whites.

I do the occasional mono, only fair you should go poly every now and then Grin. A wonderful yellow, white and green combination in v2, you can almost smell that lemon scent.

Dear Lord... The first question I have to ask is are you well???? Where is the moody and gritty Alan that we all know and love? I know we dicussed Venerable yesterday, but I wonder if its changed to ancient and you've aged overnight and retreated into your dotage???

All that said two blooming nice images and each one has its merrits, and both are finely crafted.

Nice one Alan.
