Has a distinct Constable 'feel', notably (for me) the tonal contrasts where patches of light filter past trees and shrubbery, sometimes en masse, sometimes simply as rim lighting. Very well observed.

Thanks, Bill. Always interested in your observations. Had a friend lived in Prudhoe, many years ago. Seem to recall it's just over the river from where Basil Bunting lived? (Wylam.)

Prudhoe is about a mile and a half West of Wylam along the Tyne, though a lot higher up.
We can not offer a Basil Bunting in Prudhoe, nor a George Stephenson (the railway engineer, born in Wylam), but we do lay claim to Thomas Bewick (actually of Mickley, but that's within our town council area while Wylam isn't Smile)
Lovely shot, nice atmosphere.

All that messin' has added so much atmosphere. Very nicely subdued colour palette with that strip of bright water bringing the whole image to life.
