This is really beautiful Alan. I like the texturing. Have you purposely left a slight darker area in the middle of the picture to allow the eye a way through?

Simple compositions like this are the best basis for the treatment.
At least that's what I think I mean.
The composition is in fact very strong with its layered landscape and the putative vanishing point dependent on the hedge line(s).
