That feeling of being alone in the world. Simple and superb.

Bucking the trend and placing them smack in the middle. It works, as it is balanced. Negative space as far as the eye can see, and an overall abstract look that brings photography down to its simplest level, yet at the same time shows the complexity of what pleases the human eye and brain.

A few pixels can be so expressive. There's blind optimism on the part of the dog, determined to have fun whatever. Throw that ****** ball, why don't you... And knowing patience on the owner's part.
And an eternity of emptiness.

Perfect expression of the outside world as I write.
Although I'm not barking.
(quite).

it's different but it does ring a nostalgic bell for the Un homme et une femme by Claude Lelouch ( the iconic scene of a man with his dog )

Could that be Ava Gardner down there with the dog? But if memoyt serves the dog was with the scientist with the racing car. Fred Astaire in a highly different part.

"This is the way the world ends...not with a bang but a whimper." Kipling I think?

Of Course silly me.

Thought the book was better than the movie despite the wonderful Ava.
