Little Madam

By Jasper87
The second of my Little Misses images. This 'Little Madam' was supposed to be sitting with her classmates doing her morning prayer recitals at a nursery school near Inle Lake in Burma. She decided she didn't want to and went to stare out of a window towards the back of the building. Wearing the Thanakha paste cosmetic.

Many thanks to Walter, John and Saeid for their UAs on Little Princess, and everyone else for your views/comments.

AS wonderful candid, Dave, she clearly wasn't impressed doing prayer recitals with the rest of the youngsters, and decided to make her own private prayers in solitude Smile Carol

A real gem as good a candid as one could hope to see Dave. She does look rather grumpy

I love the composition and the way you have used the green window frame to hold the viewer into the image. Great stuff.

She is obviously having a bad day! Great framing Dave. That paste is very strange - I'm off to read about it as I didn't have time on your last image.

An image that many of us would love to have taken, Dave. Interesting to read the comments of others re. the framing. For me, the inclusion of only part of the window frame is very clever bit of composition. It poses no confines on the child's gaze and allows us to wonder what her thoughts were and where her imagination and thoughts were taking her. I wonder why she was not participating along with the other children and why she is wearing such a sad downcast expression which does still not mask the underlying prettiness of her face. I could ramble on but just let me say this is one of the very best images of it's kind that I have had the privilege to see.

How can we follow on from Ronnie's summing up!
His vocabulary never fails. You do this well also but with less words.
Writing comments is a good exercise in trying to express ourselves.
Anyway back to the image - she's doing what many of us
have often felt during something 'boring'!
Great image and beautifully framed.
