Dysart Harbour

By widtink
Dysarts wealth was attributable to the sea for a long time. The sart in Dysart means salt which was exported from the port for years. Fishing also was a big earner but not anymore. Most of the boats are for recreational sailing now although a few are still registered fishing boats.

Hi Roddy looks like yer turnin intae the story-teller o Scots histary. Lots o folk dae ken 100yrs ago every harbour in Scotland had 100's o boats working oot thum and noo there aw lucky tae have 5 each.

A really like the low angle and a nice background o the snaw covered Pentlands. Worth a visit in the evenin tae gie the harbour wall a nice orange / red glow.
