A tender moment whist baby gorilla is suckling it's Mother.
With various obstacles such as glass, bars and pillars... I was able to get this image capturing a special moment! I had to crop in real tight post editing but ended up with something I am really pleased with.

Wonderful shot of these caring animals. I think the close crop works extremely well

Under the circumstances you had to deal with, this is really good.

The massive size of the Mother compared to the baby is very evident in the frame filling crop, and makes the shot that much more precious, showing the size of the head just smaller than her hand.

I find this beautiful, moving and very involving. Also thought-provoking - here's a creature that's so close to us and yet so remote. You've done extremely well in difficult circumstances.

I normally favour a square crop but here I think I would take a bit off the right side, the space there seems to dilute the story and drag my eye away from the areas that matter, the diagonal of the two opposing faces.

I would also try to get a bit more definition into the mother's face.

Will upload a Mod if I can come up with something that I like...

Thank so much, especially Moira with the mod, I was thinking of cropping more to the right, but thought I might lose something... instead, now I can see it really improves it and adds something!

Thanks for the feedback, it's music to the ears when we hear that something has worked!

I was against cropping the right when I saw this, as whats being removed in the mothers arm.

But now I see the crop, it works well.
Perhaps if the image had more space on the left for balance it would make sense not to crop, but it was not to be.
