Swirling Tide

By willf1
Taken during rather inclement conditions last week - hence the sea horses on the horizon. I have been struggling to reproduce the varied tones that the conditions were giving, but I finally feel that this is a true representation of the very strange dusk lighting.

Hope you like it, I would appreciate any comments you could make.

Superb dark tone, and an 'otherworldly' theme top it.

This looks great in the smaller version, Tony but perhaps not as good in the large. Difficult to explain but apart from the foreground rocks it looks too soft and unfocused. That may well have been the effect you were looking for but for me you've done a lot better. Does that make sense?

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate you taking time to comment. To me, size does not matter - a mere "like it" is sufficient in some respects. Shall I start a thread on this topic? LOL!

ps. I love the presentation of your images. I wonder if you could let me know the name of the lettering you use on your borders [the one on End of the day]. Is it in photoshop CS or Elements? Many thanks.

Nice shot Tony, I like the sky especially. as for your peilcan sunset comment, here goes...

It does look like the pelicans were post processed and stuck into the image, but I can assure you that the photo is as it was taken. (I did seem a bit silly stalking these crazy pelicans up and down the beach at Yamba though!)

Cheers, Max
