Coal tit

By Steve_S
Hi everyone. Not been on for a few days again. Visited my mother in hospital yesterday (the ward was finally open). Was hoping that she would be much better as the staff had reported she was improving quite well. It was a bit of a shock to see her though. She was awake but her mind was in a terrible state, she didn't know who I was (had been expecting this for some time...she has dementia and this last illness has made her condition appreciably worse). She thought she was drowning on a boat all the time I was there. It was quite sobering. She will have to go into a nursing home.
Had major problem with my garden pond too at the weekend so no photography for me again.
This coal tit is from a few weeks ago, large is best if you have time. Excuse me if I only vote and don't leave many comments but got other things on my mind at the mo. Sad
Thanks for the C&Cs on the nutty, much appreciated.

Great image Steve.
Nice sharp detail and well exposed, retaining texture in the white cheeks in bright lighting.
Sorry to hear your mother has worsened. My thoughts are with you mate, as I have been through it all a few years ago.

so very sorry to hear the news of your mother, dementia is a nasty illness, hard to cope with and understand - as Brian says hang in there!
