This is a beautidul shot. It captures the peace of the early morning, and the promise of a sunny day.


The speed is just about ok as you have a steady hand, and the person was not moving quickly. Normally you would need 1/40 for hand held. But it looks great so dont worry about the speed. Its a question now of composition.

As nice as it is, the walker is right in the middle, and in general, it can appear better if its cropped to place the person off centre, - especially as he/she is moving.


Ive uploaded two crops that may work for you.

Excellent use of the low light, Wimpy, providing strong long shadows and a nice atmosphere. It works extremely well, and I have nothing further to add to the above.

Very strong image. Well seen and exposure spot on, on manual I see. I might just crop a bit off the top to remove some of the brighter areas and move the figure higher in the frame.
