Hello Everyone - it's Saturday so I have time to upload a pic or two!!!
In days of old, Dundee, like many other towns and cities, had a perimeter wall with gates. Most of them have now gone, but the names remain. We have Seagate, Wellgate, Overgate, Nethergate, Marketgate, Murraygate, Cowgate, and this is the only remaining one and is called the Wishart Arch. Apparently a preacher stood on the ramparts during the Great Plague preaching to the healthy within the gates, and the sick without. There's nothing like a caring attitude when you're ill! The second pic is of another old mill in Dundee.
Have a great weekend. Ewan
