The Black Swan

After an extremely hot day at Lake Eden Northlakes this beautiful creature emerged to forage for food. She eats only algae and weeds and is smaller than her male partner. Black Swans are native to Australia and need a 40 metre stretch of water to take off. They can be found in fresh water as well as salt water.

Reminds me of where I used to live ,Dawlish in Devon. They live on Dawlish Water which runs through the town. Lovely shot.
