Australian Dingoes

By Wireworkzzz
Dingoes at Australia Zoo. Dingoes do not bark. They are most active at dawn and dusk when their prey is active. Dingoes don't usually attack domestic livestock but they often get the blame for attacks done by feral dogs and hybrids. The hybrids are caused by interbreeding with feral dogs. The feral dogs are domestic dog that have gone feral and live in the wild.

They have been reports in media they can be dangerous, much more than Europe's wolves.

Dingoes have the potential to be dangerous just like any wild animal. In reality attacks on humans is relatively rare. The risk of dangerous behaviour is greatly increased in dingoes that have become habituated to humans through feeding or other encouragement. There are signs everywhere in these areas for tourists Not to feed the dingoes and Not to approach them. I grew up in the country and there were dingoes around but I have never ever seen one in the wild as they don't seek out humans and they keep to themselves.
