Slack Tide...

By Scottishlandscapes
...looking across Loch Torridon at Liathach, the sky was unbelievable, the reflection crystal clear as the tide reached the high point.

***changed the title it was pointed out to me that it wasn't high tide.Tongue

Cheers Alan Snap. Grin

Most unusual effect, this has a formal painterly quality. I see it dividing into precise areas in a 2-dimensional way. Curious.

That is some sky Dougie and the wind was playing ball by not disturbing that mirror finish on the Loch. Lovely light on the hillside too.

It must have been pure torture Wink Your images of the highlands Dougie are amongst some of the most evocative I've even seen. You have me pining for the glens!

Another stunner Dougie - the water is so still and so clear. Superb detail and, as you say, the sky is just marvellous!

Yesssssssss! Torridon at its best. The wee island is one of the most photographed spots in the area, but your image is one of the best I've ever seen. The light is amazing, the dark green of the pine trees are a beautiful contrast, the reflection, the sky.... absolutely amazing.
I am really excited! Smile

Lovely reflection Dougie, and the curves in the (wave?) clouds are positively strange.
