"Yellow Trio"

By RonnieAG
Went out yesterday with a view to trying for a few landscapes but within minutes of leaving the car I got caught in a deluge and retreated back home soaked through, SD card as empty as when I set out!
So had to resort to my black card b/g and an indoor shot of few tulips as the main performers.
But getting them to stay in this arrangement was the biggest problem, overcome by the use of Sellotape and a kitchen sponge stuffed beside the lower stems in a narrow vase.

Details: see EXIF

Many thanks for all the favourable remarks on my last posting "The Smaller Picture", and with special thank you to Andy "andylea") for his User Award which was most gratefully received.

You and your glorious yellow Tulips have together carried it off perfectly despite all those challanges! Great image. Weather here ghastly. Howling gales as well as snow and heavy rain, so don't think there will be many around taking landscapes!

Beautiful shot Ronnie. I can just picture the scenario, happens to me all the time. Generally results in a deluge of foul language Wink. I was thinking of going and getting some florists' oasis to stick them in. Anyway well done for getting them to stay as you wanted. Lovely colour and lighting, not to mention composition. Moira

Your novel method has worked well Ronnie as it has given you a wonderful diagonal composition, of course, so has your more orthodox normal set up with the black card for b/g, the tulips themselves are gorgeous, only outscored by your own excellence!
