Lovely image Jill, great feather detail - you did well to react so quickly with this one . These birds are amazing - wife was watching one on the Stour recently actually being attacked in flight by a rook! Thought it was going to fall out of the sky! And yes, had a great weekend - never laughed so much! Hope to meet you soon too! John Grin

Excellent! These darn herons are so difficult to get in flight with their great floppy wings usually blocking out the face. Here, the wings are in the perfect attitude. I don't know how you do it. TG
