Dinas Dinnle Sillhouette

By woodlandlad
This was taken on the beach at Dinas Dinnle in North Wales. I was kind of aiming for a semi-action shot set against the sea.

Thanks Saeid. I was wondering though wether or not to clone out the little fluffy cloud on the left. I think it pulls the eye a bit.

Have you considered a square crop (see mod) I think the image lends itself to the format and it also solves your problem with the cloud on the left. Really like the high contrast - the high lights are blown in the center, but I don't think this causes a problem at all. Good image all round.

Thanks guys. Quite like the mod Phil. Just feels better without that cloud. Am happy with the feedback for saying it's my first post !!

Very, very nice. My type of thing - strong and technically first rate.

A square crop? No, not for me a all - if you are to crop, and I don't mind this one being central, you must put the figure on a third . probably bottom left - or letterbox it with the figure on the left.

Why must the figure be put on a third (apart from that is what the magazines say)? Putting the figure on the left would crop out the cliffs in the background.

I don't think I'm gonna go for cropping but I am gonna clone out the eye-pulling cloud. I kind of like the landscape as it is.
