winter is coming

By woodrow
it snowed overnight, so it seemed fitting to upload a winter shot (from last year!)

a local scene....some of the gravestones bear the sharpening marks of Jacobites on route to the last land battle in the UK, Culloden in 1746.

a hdr image, struggled to make the snow look white and retain some detail in the shadows...it was one of those brilliant blue sky days

thanks for looking

Paul

Masterful shot.
The mono enhances the image greatly. You have a perfect view of the ancient headstones with subtle shadows, and a very bright white pristine snow. The high pitched roof pointing to the sky as well as the trees and stone wall add interest.

It'll come soon enough, get in the rations for a hard winter the swans have arrived from Russia early this year.
