The river Wear in Durham City on a grey day.
The first in a sequence of three curvy images. Just don't get too excited
Brilliant shot Bill, I love the curves and the composition is spot on IMHO.
It's that lens that does t Bill. Never seen a version like this one before. Good thinking.
Containing my excitement, but only just!
Too late... I'm already excited!
Love this, must be a nightmare for lorries to cross!
lovely `circular' feel
Brilliant. The curves of the bridge are so perfectly reflected in the river, and continued by the line of the walkway changing from concrete to what appears to be wood. This is fish-eye treatment at its best, rather than simple exposition for pure effect and little else.
PS - thanks for your comment on my market shot yesterday. As usual, informative in the extreme.
From the thumbnail I thought this was going to be a shot through a tyre - maybe something that I should try in the school playground
Very striking picture Bill which works well as a mono ................it still reminds me of a tyre though
An adventurous piece of processing here Bill, well done.
The fisheye doing what it does best Bill - and love your adventurous processing.
Fabulous curves and composition.
What excellent framing. I'm whizzing around that bridge like a death rider at the fair.
Works so well in mono Bill - brilliant!
Wonderful shapes and great use of the fish eye Bill.
Tony said it for me too: Too late... I'm already excited!

Haha! Me too! Great weird shot! love in B&W,
Different and very effective, Bill. A lot of contrast to sort out as well even though a grey day. I like it.
(I've excited stage left - chased by a bear (never could spell))
This is a well engineered fisheye image!
With added character.
Love the use of the fisheye here bill almost looks like a huge tyre going over the river.
You're telling me to not getting excited about curviness? Pshaw!
This is BRILLIANT, Bill.
Looking forward to more
The extreme wide angle has really exaggerated the curve of the bridge - a brilliant shot, Bill, love it!
Love this Bill Looking forward to seeing you and Moira soon, hope you bring some good weather with you
I just like the curves and that it is in B & W. Well done.
I walk under this regular and sometimes think it would be a bit of a dodgy place at night, the exaggerated look of this image gives it that slightly sinister look I see in my mind.
Great photography Bill.
Unusual processing but the overall look is good with the use of the fisheye. Sorry to be so late Bill, missed this one.
Excellent composition and curves Bill, these riverside landscapes have been a real pleasure to view
