IN solo

By woolybill1
At the start of the year I posted a photo of this scene here from the railway station at Beamish Museum, taken with the Lensbaby in considerably better light. Joline asked to see it taken with a normal lens, so here it is.
Of course, I didn't check up on the composition before returning to Beamish, and in any case there was a pile of luggage in the way so I couldn't have managed the composition anyhow; still I tried to make something of it. I hope it still appeals.

Many thanks to John alsoppdigitalart and Anne atworner for their treasured U.A.s on yesterday's upload, and to Robin RobinF for awarding his equally valued silverware to Going Nowhere .

An image which has clearly been worked through, however I do feel that the painted number one distracts ones eyes slightly "Others may disagree?"

Beautiful composition and a wonderfully vibrant red. I also really like the "in" where it is.

Good rich colour Bill but I bet you would have preferred different lighting conditions.

This image appealed to me the first time and it still does, vibrant red isolated against a duller background always works for me, this bucket, a telephone kiosk, postbox etc.

The shadows make this for me, Bill.
Balance.
The top left corner, almost like a vignette, the three fingered shadow to the left of the bucket all balanced by that darker brick, lower right and the window above.

Just love that splash of red Bill, good light with cracking detail, the shadows bring out the best in this capture. nice shot.

Another excellent comp' of this very worthy subject matter Bill, smashing colours.

I doubt the Stationmaster would have allowed that chipped black paint to last long.
You make such wonderfully interesting images from some quite mundane objects often by the lovely play of light Bill, a skill not always fully realised by some.

I'm not surprised this image has got a bucket load of votes, all other photos from Beamish pail into insignificance compared with this masterclass of stone textures and detail and vibrant colour
