Nice Young Men

By woolybill1
We have managed to establish an internet connection of sorts so I've managed a click-and-run and a couple of comments.
Just to lower the tone in time for the week-end, here's a light-hearted encounter with a pointing finger and some competitors in a bowls tournament, Great Yarmouth.

Do follow the link for an explanation if you dare Grin Wink
Those nice young men in their clean white coats
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa . . . .

I know this place and last time I was there we suffered a plague of ladybirds. An interesting well captured candid.

A game I rarely watch but it has a huge following across the world. I've heard that music many times in he middle of the night, I wonder why???

I'll be hearing it all day now, Cheers Bill.

I could tell you some stories about the Bowls mafia who used to terrorise all and sundry in the Ward I represented as a Councillor! Never assume that these guys are genteel and benign. Instead be afraid, be very very afraid! The pointing finger is a clue here. Nice capture.

I smile at the man on the left - caught in mid movement no doubt, but he reminds me of Tony getting up from a chair - which he seems to do in two parts these days - this far up and he needs a break before doing the second part of the movement - so I think bowls would suit him well WinkWink

When they make bowls a 'contact sport' I might think of taking it up!

Can't help but compare them with the men taking part in the local boules tournament when we were in Brittany. They take it just a seriously - but no white coats.
A splendid shot.

It's funny that - we had an AV competition a couple of weeks back at the Camera Club, and our Secretary submitted a show of weird digital manipulations and used this song!
A great candid shot, Bill, and the chap in the middle pointing really makes this work Wink

They got a bowls club even here, the only one in France. I think they got one French member. All the others taken themselves extremely serious and look exactly like those in your shot, apart from the ladies Smile

Seems like a bit of discussion going on here Bill.
I hope it is not about any underhand tactics !!
And dare I suggest,
I think this would make a rather fine mono ''sporty'' image !!

Now listen here Billy-Boy this is a game not to be knocked as it is played by mainly T'old folk who at that certain age need exercise and companionship, a good green and a drop of good ale in the clubhouse at the end of the roll-up.

Rock the Roller.

You've bowled the epzers' over here Bill and proved that you are not a jack of all trades and master of none. I like the serious expressions you've captured
